who doesn’t love performative changes to distract from the fact that we are running our provinces into the ground.
Doug Ford’s government has been told by courts many times that the provincial jail system is grossly underfunded, leading to many people being sent out on bail because there isn’t enough space or because their rights were violated.
I think bail reform will be one of the real challenges where we’ll see if LPC voters will tolerate Carney’s progressive conservative policies. I still think the progressive base Trudeau grew is very strong.
