This has become so habitual for me at this point that it feels like … I don’t know, prejudice. Someone tells me they’re American and I have to stifle a physical cringe.
not surprisingly in the last 20 odd years, the percentage of Canadians with a positive opinion of the US never drops below 50% unless Trump is in office.
It appears that the trade deals and tax/regulatory reform that Trump is putting in place will accelerate the US growth rate to around 4% – permanently . Canada’s growth is stuck around 1-1.5%. We lose ground every year. That is the real threat.
