I’ve shot a 50cal machine gun like this in Cambodia at one of those ‘shooting ranges’ you may have heard about (still got one of the cases as a souvenir).
I can tell you those things are absolutely deafening, the shockwave from each shot is powerful enough to shake the leaves off trees. I can’t see any ear protection here…
