Every day more details emerge suggesting a closer-than previously known relationship between [Donald Trump](https://inews.co.uk/topic/donald-trump?srsltid=AfmBOoqD5an-fP0vsVZBpeopJ6SWvf1C8wlGYyP1sWCwhQ-GaVR-GJy6&ico=in-line_link) and [Jeffrey Epstein](https://inews.co.uk/topic/jeffrey-epstein?srsltid=AfmBOooSe4gPK8ct1gb3GT8MsrhRTX1vjQVRKiQPzltvWHT6dXmcwXM-&ico=in-line_link). Every day Trump tries and fails to kill the story.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Trump reportedly told CNN after it contacted him to ask about [newly surfaced photographs](https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/22/politics/kfile-trump-epstein-photos-footage) showing Epstein attending Trump’s 1993 wedding to his second wife, Marla Maples, at The Plaza hotel in New York.
The network also found video from a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion event that showed Epstein and Trump talking and laughing.
The White House communications director, Steven Cheung, said the footage was “nothing more than out-of-context frame grabs of innocuous videos and pictures of widely attended events to disgustingly infer something nefarious”.
There is nothing the 79-year-old US President would prefer more than to have [questions about his relationship with Epstein ](https://inews.co.uk/news/4-things-know-trump-epstein-birthday-card-forming-opinion-3813067?ico=in-line_link)brushed away for ever with a stern statement from his media team.
That seems unlikely to happen for several reasons.
One is that for many years Trump let his [most loyal supporters believe](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/maga-media-meltdown-epstein-trump-3811316?srsltid=AfmBOoryFWkK-pWwI0rnrno1q_QMIaoFozKRUBJsMGvcMqd-3tc6i3d0&ico=in-line_link) he would release all files of information relating to the case of the financier and convicted sex offender found dead in his New York jail cell in 2019 at the age of 59 while awaiting trial on new, federal sex trafficking charges.
If convicted, Epstein could have been jailed for 45 years.
One would hope so.
But I grew up surrounded by right wing relatives, and I can tell you that every single one of them would gladly give their daughter for him to rape to death as long as he keeps on torturing and killing gay, black and brown people.
He’s now directly instructing his followers to switch the topic to Obama any time anyone asks about Epstein.

The usual strategy of „delay, delay, delay“ doesn’t work here because other people dig up stuff on their own and they have more receipts than you can yell „fake news“.
If I’ve learned anything it’s that he can escape undamaged from anything. He’s a cult leader, cult leader don’t play by normal rules.
Trump raped a lot of kids in case you forgot
This is all shit we’ve known for over a decade. All of it!
Honestly I felt he wouldn’t be damaged, or at least not as much as people think.
Because no matter what Trump did, they still won’t vote blue because you know „own the libs“
He’s already a 34-time convicted felon. They’re not impeaching him, so what’s the “damage”?
The interesting thing about current events is that it got to where it is now thanks to Trump, The desperation in trying to burry the truth only made people dig for more. The Epstein story was somewhat contained until Trump gave it so much attention that it snowballed out of control and now he cannot contain it anymore.
Can you please explain why this time he won’t escape? How is it different to all other times he committed crimes? To me it seems that it won’t even influence his golf schedule.
He bought a teen beauty pageant so he could rape and traffic children. He pimped out his own daughter to Epstein.
What if the the scrubbed part of the access Hollywood bus exit is Epstein leaving the bus with NBC executives?
Why not? He’s eluded all problems to date.
Wanna bet? I don’t like this guy, but nothing is going to happen.
Trump saying “I didn’t know him well” while there’s video of them partying together is peak comedy.
Well he will just call it fake news, blame Obama and his cult will go back to wanting to lick his toes.
If only the media had put in this kind of time, effort, and attention to put his relationship with Epstein under this kind of microscope a decade ago when he was first running or at any point since then before he won reelection.
If he doesn’t go to jail until the day he expires, he hasn’t been damaged enough.
I’ll unfortunately believe it when I see it. A post Trump America is going to need a long autopsy of what really happened here.
Everyone knew Trump was a rapist who had a multi-decade, reciprocal, and close relationship with Epstein.
Why are the people who chose to ignore this for the past decade now saying they care?
He’s a slippery snake
He can, it’s up to the people, the politicians and the media to make sure he doesn’t.
He escaped undamaged from so many things I’ll believe this only when I see him rotting where he should be.
