SS: This news comes after Israel has offered a new 60 day truce deal last week, in which they softened their stance on troop withdrawals.
The deal would see Israeli troops pull back to a 1km buffer zone around the border, and the release of 1,100 Palestinian prisoners (including 125 serving life sentences for terrorism) in exchange for 10 alive and 20 dead Israeli hostages being released.
The sides would then begin to negotiate a full end to the conflict and release of the last hostages
So depressing but also so expected.
