This is where Carneys experience is shining through .

The big lie by Smith and Pierre is that repealing the tanker ban or c 69 would produce projects like these or make them easier to produce .

Reality is that both moves would not of simply created pipelines but rather a massive amount of resistance across all the provinces against many viable projects essepiecally where it matters the most right now with the indigenous.

Carney is choosing the paths of least resistance and creating opportunities in projects that have a majority of support. This is his private sector experience being used in the public sector .

Crude exporting from the north pacific coast has 0 viability, and this is exactly why Smith and the CPC are using for division optics.

Wipe the tanker ban and c 69 and completely fund the line with public funds, and it still will never happen .

This is coming from someone who is pro oil and gas .
