Supporting the two criminally convicted leaders of a deeply unpopular occupation of our capital is a bold move, Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for him!

This was a rather entertaining saga to watch. The party clearly sent out a memo to MPs not to comment on this case a couple days ago, which angered Poilievre’s influencer buddies. Poilievre, realizing he needed those people to win the review, decided to backtrack and put out a statement today, which opened the floodgates of MPs commenting on it.
I guess this probably can’t be too damaging for him. It probably helps secure his leadership, and it’s not like there are seats in Ottawa left for them to lose.

Poor PP. 2022-23 were such good years. Fuck Trudeau stickers on every pickup. „Axe the tax“ rolling off the tip of every tongue. Waking up refreshed every morning with an unassailable double digit lead in the polls, knowing that PM PP was a matter of when, not if. Light-hearted banter with convoy supporters and Diagolon members over coffee and donuts. Where did it all go so terribly wrong?

Well it started off with wanting a supreme court decision on forcing people to get vaccines to work.
That never did happen. Even doctors and nurses (a noticeable portion) didn’t get the vacs.
Truckers are still the only group, to this day, that need them in order to work.
My body, my choice, kind of works both ways here.
I got vacs, but that was my choice. So I do support that part of it. And I find it untoward that truckers are the only group to be forced in such a life destroying way.

„Let’s get this straight: while rampant violent offenders are released hours after their most recent charges & antisemitic rioters vandalize businesses, terrorize daycares & block traffic without consequences, the Crown wants 7 years prison time for the charge of mischief for Lich & Barber. How is this justice?“
We have people trying to rape 15 year olds getting 12 months probation and no jail time, we have repeat offenders getting parole and going right back to harming innocent Canadians while facing no consequences. We just had a man with 5 drunk driving charges and 3 separate driving bans cause a multicar crash and give a 21 year old life-altering injuries and then get bail right after. We have people shooting at daycares and schools because the kids who attend happen to be Jewish
I don’t care that Lich and Barber are getting 7 years, I don’t agree with the convoy in the slightest. But its that it’s clearly politically motivated while we let dangerous criminals do whatever they want with the occasional slap on the wrist.

This is the kind of stupid that makes it impossible to support the current incarnation of the Conservatives. Don’t need the hate and wilful ignorance of these kind of people.

Now we are going to be forced into driving EVs. What if someone wants to organize a protest against that? Our government owns us now. They can force anything on us and we can’t protest.
