Note that Russia has not formally requested his extradition. They just sent goons to kidnap him. The guy was clever enough to have Armenian police arrest him to prevent suffering the same fate as other Russian deserters before him. The goons were brazen enough to come to the place where he was held and demand that police hand him over to them.

That soldier will most likely be kidnapped and taken to another front to be used as cannon fodder.

Very smart guy. I think if Ukraine somehow could get the message out to Russians and even some of the leaders of the Russian brass if you come over and defect to our side. You get treated fairly and respect with hot meals. Then set up a program where they can get their wife or family into Ukraine so they can live peacefully. I know that might not work out very good because a lot of ukrainians don’t want more Russians in there. But there’s got to be something like they’re going to be treated with respect and you get good food while they’re prisoners

Just a reminder: Since the invasion of Ukraine began, Russia has lost a lot of allies or have worsened relations with other countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Syria and the central Asian countries while gaining nothing but an alliance with North Korea and becoming a beggar in the eyes of China.
The geopolitical, economic, demographic and military cost of the Ukraine war will impact Russia negatively for the next decades and I seriously doubt they will fully recover within this century.
