Took advantage of someone in the most horrific way not once but twice. Pure evil. I hope the survivor is doing as well as possible and they should know that they did a heroic thing by reporting it.

I fail to understand mitigating circumstances for the sentence. Is it because it’s a male he raped ? Would the same be applied if it was a woman he raped ? Given he returned 8 years later to do it again surely says this was planned.

Does anyone have a more detailed understanding of the case? Just reading the article I am confused. The accused claims it was consensual. The victim says it was rape. There’s not a lot of mention of coercion. Most of the description involves the farmer being unable to get an erection. Nothing in the article refers to evidence that could be used to convict. Perhaps the full story is not properly conveyed in the article. Ie: the evidence.
