I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist here, but I can think of two reasons why Vance is going to Europe right now.
1- Shit’s about to seriously hit the fan and Vance is going to be implicated/involved. He’s taken his family overseas where it’s easier to make a break for Russia (or another ‘friendly’ country).
2- Shit’s about to hit the fan and he went to Europe so he’s not in town to try and save Trump/cast any tie-breaker votes. He can (try to) save face with the MAGA crowd by not, technically, siding with Democrats while ousting Trump.
