Alaska Airlines has requested a ground stop for all of its flights, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
„At approximately 8 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, Alaska Airlines experienced an IT outage that’s impacting our operations. We requested a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska and Horizon Air flights until the issue is resolved,“ the airline said in a statement Sunday evening.

In other news while you petty people are arguing over the details, they said the cause of the outage is unknown. So if it was truly unkown, why would they risk everyone’s life & put them back on the plane?

Hacking is my guess. China, Russia, Iran. Who knows.
There is a very recent (a few hours at this time) severe security hole publicized affecting all ONPREM Sharepoint servers. Bug is being actively exploited, no patch available as of now.
Seems reasonable to assume a connection.
