Marvel plant, die X-Men und (schließlich) Tony Stark nach ‚Avengers: Secret Wars‘ neu zu machen, aber ‚Neustart ist ein beängstigendes Wort‘, sagt Kevin Feige

It’s not a scary word. The MCU has gone on for too long. It needs to be rebooted after the second Avengers film. But it on ice for a few years then completely reboot. No need to worry about 20 years of canon.

There are a thousand places to start a new arc. A reboot will and should take three or four years, that will be enough time. Question is, do they have the chops to come up with a story that isn’t the same old bullshit.

In the world of comics, it’s never a reboot, just a brand new incarnation.

Just have Jack Black br Professor X.

They need to end it and focus on one offs or go in a different direction with x-men or another team. Bring back the Avengers with a new cast in 10 years. It works for Batman and Spiderman, it can work for the Avengers. Less is more.

The purpose of Secret Wars is to reshuffle the deck, update the status quo, make any changes they want because they built up so much over the years that they’re using it to drop any properties they’re not happy with and introduce new ones. It’s not rebooting, it’s typical comic bullshit.

If they can recast James Bond , Superman, and the Joker all of which have arguably been definitively done , then they can recast any franchise role for any property
And people will just go with it

Called it, Ultimate Marvel Cinematic Universe is coming

It’s funny because the only reason doing Iron Man again seems weird is because it feels like it would be done by the same people who already did it. Batman had a lot of iterations but always had wildly different takes because the directors got to ignore every other Batman. Do we need to see Kevin Feige and likely the Russos do Iron Man again within the MCU?

Why reboot Tony, wtf

I hope it’s also a creative reboot and not just reshuffling the cast.
I’m very fine with a Marvel reset, and Superman 2025 showed that it can be really successful. But I don’t want an Iron Man movie with a new actor that feels the same as what came before.

Why recast Tony Stark? If they want to bring back Ironman, just have Morgan don the suit

Never heard of resting IP it seems

What’s the point of a reboot? Just use other heroes.

I feel this marvel, if they have 1 flop with the post secret wars new cast, everyone is fired and all the old cast will come back in again . This Disney marvel can’t really stick to a plan

I think is great news and insight into what the MCU is going to look like in the future. Imagine the cost saving that could be done by hiring a new actor to portray Tony Stark that’s not as expensive as RDJ. That opens up so many more creative choices with cost savings. It’s a win-win.

Remember guys, we survived a hundred years without marvel movies. We can do that again.

We could also try making some new movies?
