    1. >“I said this before ‘woke’ and ‘DEI’ became a thing and I’m still saying it after: Marvel is the world outside your window,” Feige told reporters on Friday. “It’s not Gotham City and Metropolis. This is New York and L.A.. And yes, there’s also Wakanda and Asgard, but it is made up of the people who make up our world.”

The MCU has had a lot of shitty movies and shows after Endgame but I would not consider diversity the problem with the MCU since I’m not a moron. Also as of recent it seems like they might be improving and getting back into the swing of things, so that’s nice. I’m excited for Fantastic Four.

Diversity isnt the problem, we live in a diverse world and reflecting it on screen isnt the issue. Its the writing and the „conception“ of some of their more recent stuff that’s been the problem.

Imagine sitting through the entirety of movies like The Eternals (god rest your soul) and thinking the problem was “woke”

I live in an all white Christian community and that’s what I see outside my window. Not gays or blacks – MAGA probably

    6. Its easier to hate on wokeness or diversity compared to hating on writing and character development

    7. No. Marvel and the MCU is fictional. It’s been made to be as inclusive as possible to increase viewership and generate revenue with quarterly increases in profits for shareholders. Stop acting like it’s more than it is. K.I.S.S.

„Outside of your window“, except if its china and you remove gay people from movies so u dont get banned there.

      Hypocritical fucks

    9. X-Men, Black Panther, Falcon, all created in the 60s and 70s to show DIVERSITY in the world!!

      Fugging conservatives!!

    10. Diversity is not the problem with marvel. The problem with marvel is the movies are written defensively to box-check in service of a rabid fanbase that’s ready to jump down their throat if they aren’t doing perfect justice to the source material.

The result is all the boxes get checked. And the movie is a bunch of checked boxes, instead of a vision, or a well-told story with fresh insights and authentic characters

Whether or not diversity is an improvement factor, I think the MCU still got it. Excited for future adventures everyone? I am.

I mean, so far no cars on my block have exploded and no one has tried to punch anyone, much less become a giant green version of themselves.

If marvel really cares about diversity then they shouldn’t race or gender swap characters and make new character. (Miles morales from spider-man verse) SONY didn’t race swap peter parker they create a new spider man.

    14. Diversity is not bad. The problem is the stories they’re telling is not interesting.

It’s going through a Star Wars affect with each bomb continuing decreases the interest in the franchise of itself. A movie or tv show bombing does hurt whatever universe they want to tell.

You don’t have to spend much time in any major US city to see how diverse things really are.
