Aren’t they all
They’re always a beloved family pet. It doesn’t mean they’re not dangerous though.
I mean, a mountain lion could be a beloved family pet, but it doesn’t mean actually having one as a pet is great idea.

No it’s not however there is different morphology in the bully breed
Just because its a bellowed family pet doesnt mean it was trained well, or at all.
I have once had a dog from shelter, who was very well used to sleeping on a sofa. Thats a no-go in my household. When I tried telling it down, it started growling and showing teeth. This dog came from a family with 2 kids – who clearly got rid of it because they couldn’t handle it (this was a non-aggressive breed – Clumber Spaniel).
After 6 months of training, she would never do that ever again.
I cannot imagine what a Bully breed would do if its training was this neglected.
Just to satisfy all the „Can’t wait for all the “there’s no bad dogs just bad owners” lot to show up!“ here I am.
My statement is, that a responsible dog owner would not get a dog like this into a family with kids, or on a suburban area with families and kids running around. These are not household pets, these were bred for certain purpose, and should be used only for that purpose.

You could raise a tiger as a beloved family pet too It might never ever harm you and be as lovable and placid as you like. But what if one day its true nature kicks in and it mauls you to death? It will be impossible to fight off. That’s what its like with these dog breeds. It’s like Russian Roulette.
Some people are going to want to know what colour the dog was.
If the only way to stop a dog attacking is to call in the armed cops, then those breeds need to be wiped out. End of fucking story. All dogs can snap and attack, but the aggression and capacity for damage with those fiends is unparalleled.
Those breeds of dogs are not worth the danger that comes with them.

There were reports about a serious dog attack near me and all the comments were about how much the victim loved their dogs. No mention that the dog, who probably started it was owned by the scumbag partner who had the dog locked in the house most of the time and had it as „protection“ against their fellow drug dealers. The victim often posted on social media in defence of pitbull and bully dogs.
Until they make owners criminally liable for the attacks of their dogs then nothing will change. In this case the owners should be charged with assault. If the injuries are life threatening then attempted manslaughter. If someone dies then charge the owner with manslaughter.
We should see owning a dog as akin to owning a gun. It is the owners responsibility to use it in a safe and responsible manner.
They should start banning this fucking breed in Ireland.

You know the way every husky goes mental the first time it sees snow, despite never having left Ireland and having no way to understand its relationship to arctic climates?
And how labradors go mental for the sea even if every generation anyone knows a out been raised in the Midlands? And how collies will try to herd just about anything? And how a Spaniel raised indoors will still chase ducks from one coast to another given half a chance?
Mad how only fighting dogs, miraculously, have all lost the traits that defined their breed completely from inception for potentially hundreds of years.
why can’t people work on breeding the negative traits out of the breed?
This is a horrible tragedy that happened and I’m not ignoring these dogs have certain temperaments bred into them by people aiming for illegal uses of them that makes them riskier than most breeds, but can’t other breeders make an effort to breed down the negative traits? I don’t care if it means the breed isn’t purebred anymore but I can’t morally agree with killing animals for things that were literally bred into them by us humans.
Someone said yesterday that it happened in a house but it’s still not clear, was it her dog in her house or in the driveway or was it loose running around the estate and she was a random passer-by?
And nobody is surprised, scummer in local estate just got one and is walking around with it unmuzzled.
