      This is good news. It takes two to tango

      I cannot imagine living in a country for so long without making an effort to learn the local language especially now that technology has advanced..

      Attempts at integration by foreigners should be broadcast widely and praised. Everyone staying long-term in Japan must know this is the way, and Japanese people must know there are foreigners willing to adapt.

      I feel any country in Europe would have been a most accepting society for people from the Middle East.
