Wealth inequality is one of the biggest causes of criminal activity, regardless of where people are from.
As a species, across the whole world, we really need to start taxing billionaires more and using those funds to improve public services. That will reduce crime an awful lot more than just banning foreigners will

If they compared the crime rates of asylum seekers vs regular population that might have made some sense, but I don’t see that they did.
I absolutely don’t understand why our government still keeps them when they commit a crime. They came here illegally so what can we expect.
