IF INNOVATION AND new technology is embraced, Ireland has the potential to have one of the best health services in the world, former Health Minister Stephen Donnelly claimed today.
And when are we getting a children’s hospital?

What a clown, instead of using Irish negativity he should name the groups of people he really means

‘Taking risks’ is not what a health service should be doing. Let other sectors take the risks with broken AI. Don’t let it near people’s health until it safe. The AI companies simply want the most vulnerable aspects of people’s lives as their hostage.

I found it particularly laughable when he claimed that Ireland could become a leader in the use ofAI in healthcare. The vast majority of our hospitals don’t even have electronic healthcare records. The lab system in Beaumont is so old that no other hospital in the world is using it and the company that developed it said that they can no longer offer any technical support. There’s very little interoperability between the IT systems even within hospitals never mind between different hospitals.

😂 Is this Irish negativity is with us in the room now Stephen? Sounds like hella of a power stuff if it can hold back a developed country’s healthcare advancements!

Donnelly is an opportunistic nob.
Jumped ship to FFG because he saw which side his bread was buttered on.
Didn’t really achieve anything in government.

I’m glad this comment section disproved the negativity claim. Ridiculous
Taking risks would include making redundant all the admin and middle management staff who are useless

Why are giving air time to a failed politician who seems to currently be unemployed. May as well go down the GPO and see what the lads down there have to say. At least they are using the services. If you’re going to listen to the unemployed may as well get an informed opinion.

“told the MacGill Summer School that…” I stopped reading after that.
Pretty much everything which comes out of the mouth of someone there is just fantastical nonsense.
