      Free healthcare should be a basic right for every single citizen in an advanced and wealthy country.

      If poorer nations, like the UK, can offer their citizens this basic right, then so should a rich nation like the USA.

      The GOP wants to make wage slaves where poor people own nothing but work endlessless under a mountain of crippling debt and if they expressed any opinion counter to the party they get fired and the debt collapses on them. They also want to rape children.

      In the meantime a Trump appointed judge just tossed the rule keeping medical debt off credit reports. Trump placed a Project 2025 guy over the CFPB and OMB, so it won’t be appealed.

      All because a bunch of gomers voted for a corrupt moron.

      Worth noting that erasing this $144 million in debt only cost around $1.4 million, and that the expenses were funded through a nonprofit, not tax dollars.

      A step in the right direction, but really only a band aid. We need a national single payer health care program like most other modern 21st C nations. Health care should be treated as a basic human right, not a commodity. And no one should ever have medical debt. Cut to the chase already, get rid of the parasitical insurance middle men, and pass improved Medicare For All now.

      I doubt this is what it seems. Debt is weird and obviously piles up to a degree unfathomable. Money is fake. This might just be a political move that actual means nothing because at the end of the debt that cannot further be collected where does it end up? Or do u trust your politician? Lol cmon… didn’t the orange one get to wealth through the debt scheme. I wouldn’t trust this, People…

      Someone from the far left, middle, or far-right wanna lecture me again about how both parties are the same?

      Would this EVER happen with Kari fucking Lake? No.

      Democrats aren’t perfect but they are far, far better than Republicans.

      And what’s worse is if we had only got up and voted Democrats in for this last election it probably would have changed American politics for the better for a generation. We’ll never know for sure, but that would basically be 4 straight national wins.

      And that’s not only because democrats would at least try to improve voting (like with the John Lewis voting bill), raise minimum wage, actually do something about climate change, etc, more importantly it and would speak directly to the GOP platforms failings.

      Instead we just reinforced that fascism is indeed acceptable and most people don’t really care.
