What’s the value in carrying out their sentence in jail prior to deportation? Wouldn’t deportation be the more resource efficient process here?
The two offenders pleaded guilty to a number of charges, including failing to stop after an accident and interference with a dead body. They came to Canada from India on international student visas and are expected to face deportation at the end of their sentence.
They will not face deportation. They will get parole after 18 months probably less. Then the judge will make them pinky swear that they will be good for now on and then they will get their PR. And if not they will go to the media tell them how unfair life is and that they should get to stay because they only made this one little mistake and they promise they wont do it again. The IRCC will cave and they will get PR. MMW
