      He has no choice. If he doesn’t sue, or atleast threaten to sue then that just gives credit to the report. If he does sue, it might come out fake but it might also reveal more information. He doesn’t really stand to win either way.
      I’d love to see how they intend to prove it’s fake.

      There’s no way the WSJ sent this to print without doing their own due diligence. The fact he tried to suppress it calling them personally shows to me it’s real. Him threatening to sue confirms it. This would be a fun ride to watch if it weren’t for the raping of kids.

      I’m still struggling with this idea that the president has immunity for any official acts but still has the ability to turn off his “official” mode (while being the leader of the country) and go around suing media companies left and right.

      At best (for him), it’s extortion, forcing their hand to settle some frivolous lawsuit for millions (since that’s easier than going to court against the president). At worst, it’s an admission of guilt (in this scenario).

      I feel so awful for the girls these men raped. They were so young and had their whole lives ahead of them and they were being abused by creepy old rich guys who think it’s all an inside joke.

      I am glad Trump is suing the Wall Street Journal. As a Murdoch publication, the WSJ has deep pockets to defend itself. And, I am sure the editors rubbed and scrubbed their story for accuracy. This may be Trump’s „McCarthy“ moment, in which his supporters turn away from the president over his lies. We can hope!
