      We all know why this is happening, and it’s not a financial decision.  This show could have run at a reduced budget l to go with lower audience for decades more. CBS execs are fucking cowards

      Are younger age groups even watching late night? Celebrities are so easily accessible that a late night show serves very little these days.

      Paramount also cancelled Tiny Chef because of this merger. Maybe Colbert and Chef should team up and go to Hulu.

      Colbert should run for Senate in his home state of South Carolina in 2026… against none other than Lindsay Graham. Or 2028 against Tim Scott.

      Doesn’t really add up to me considering he’s the highest rated for that hour.

      Especially considering a bunch of news and speculation came out weeks earlier saying this very thing might happen for very clear political reasons.

      Hopefully… if he wants to… he’ll find a home somewhere else doing something similar.

      Looks like Trump made deals with CBS in addition to settling the 60 minutes lawsuit. This decision has got Trump’s fingerprints all over it. A sad day for comedy and Colbert. I had even gone to one of their taping.

      Cowards, Colbert has been the best late night host, possibly since Carson even. His numbers prove it, his comedy has been unbelievably good. He will no doubt be picked up rapidly to any network. CBS will 100% regret this decision.

      CBS also cancelled „The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour“ because they roasted Tricky Dick Nixon. Nothing has changed.
