* Richards also claimed that Phypers “threatened that I would ‘disappear’ if I called the police.” She said he “repeatedly abused” her throughout their marriage. The former couple tied the knot in 2018.
Denise is going down the road of Tori Spelling in terms of career. Marrying Charlie Sheen started a chain reaction in her career and personal life which has felt like it’s been downhill ever since. Sad to watch as every headline she’s in is for something in her personal life – and it’s never positive.
Maybe that explains why Nicolette Sheridan divorced him within six months?

Leaving an abusive marriage is hard.
I can only imagine how hard it was to try and keep this secret her whole marriage and avoid public judgment.
She doesn’t deserve blame or ridicule because her husband is an abusive piece of trash. I read the reader comments on the People article and it’s clear that many blame her.
Denise (if you see this) Don’t pay attention to loser strangers who blame you. Seek refuge and support from people who truly care about you during this time.

I remember on Real Housewives Aaron dragged Denise away from a party and threatened to crush her hand. He seemed abusive and controlling. I have never looked at Aaron the same way again. I had a bad feeling about him. And the paranoia (his statements about being followed), the snake oil cancer treatment..very mentally unstable and dangerous. (He recently got sued because he convinced a woman with cancer to take his treatment, she got scammed and unfortunately has passed away.) He’s not a good person to be around and he’s dangerous in many ways. I am glad Denise is taking the steps to protect herself, she deserves so much better.

This is terrible. She has had horrible luck with men. They all abuse her in some way. I hope she is safe, and if she ever finds love again, that it is stable and really loving with no DV. No one deserves to live in fear of someone they love.
I think I remember one of the kids saying as much and wanted to move in with Charlie.
This is why I thought the women trying to out her alleged (premarital) fling with Brandi was scummy. They were already gossiping about him being violent/controlling and still thought it was fine to force her into an on air admission.
What a scumbag. He’s also a cancer scammer. I hope she has a lot of the abuse well documented.
