Not shocking, haha. The pro-granting asylum to US citizens argument is based on years of escalating persecution, whereas the people who believe US citizens can’t be refugees can’t offer a counterargument more coherent than „Nuh uh, the US is safe because I said so.“

I’m sure certain people will caterwaul about the ruling or cry about „activist judges“ but the fact is that the US is no longer a safe country for LGTBQ people. It is unambiguously good that the judge recognised this!
