Arrested today under terrorism laws for assisting an action that happened last year by a group that wasn’t proscribed until the other week is wild.

„Five more people have been arrested over an alleged ram-raid at a defence technology firm as part of a pro-Palestine protest“.
Everyone has the right to peaceful protest, but it’s shocking how acts or incitment of violence are supported in the name of Palestine.
Whatever your position on the conflict, there needs to be recognition of the boundaries of what’s acceptable protest and what’s not.

Managing that sort of work/protest life balance must be fkn tough.

I do so enjoy noticing the passive attempts by our media especially the BBC to offer low tier support for these people
BBC version – „Five more people have been arrested over an alleged ram-raid at a defence technology firm as part of a pro-Palestine protest.“
Normal version of this opening line – Five more people arrested after allegations they were involved in a ram-raid at a defence technology firm as part of a pro-Palestine protest.
Note the difference in language. The BBC version implies the possibility the ram-raid never happened and thus they are innocent of that crime while my version notes the crime of the ram-raid did happen but opens the possibility those arrested weren’t involved
