    1. Why are we and Denmark so expensive- my pay rises over the last ten years are 2-3%
      Nothing to write home about.

    2. Wow, prices are higher in richer countries and lower in poorer countries. Mindblowing stuff.

    3. When these maps come up, I always think that they forgot the UK and then I remember they told us they didn’t want to be part of our family anymore.

      In terms of what though

Alchohol and digital stuff or chinese import stuff from aliexpress etc. is more expensive in ireland

Alchohol is disgustingly expensive here , your own brands are cheaper in France then here.
Netherlands food and daily products like shampoos or sunscreen etc. is freaking expensive as hell though compared to like ireland and germany (over twice the price), but ordering stuff online is way easier and cheaper and more ofthen then not no shipping.

But then irelands power costs more per kwh and is second only beaten by germany.

    5. There’s probably a reason no sensible person would use such a comparison. Hint, would you prefer to be earning your crust in the -30% countries

    6. This seems wrong to me, I live in France and have traveled frequently to Spain and Italy and am always shocked by how much cheaper things are in Spain and Italy. It’s much more than the 8-15 percent implied by this map.

    7. Bollocks to this. I live in Ireland and am now in Croatia. Groceries in Ireland are at least 30% cheaper. All of it.

    8. Non floating currency while living on an island was always going to result in this.

prices of what? lol. I am from Romania and most people struggle heavily on median wage (1000 EUR/month_, while the prices for meat eggs and diary are in general the same compared to UK or Ireland.I’ve lived in UK.An apartment in a big city is around 120K eur. So probably housing prices compared to EU. And I don’t get how can u compare since Romania doesnt even use EUR as currency.
