This could be a bullish (retail FOMO yet to come) or a bearish sign (retail FOMO not coming), who really knows

tldr; Bitcoin has reached new all-time highs, but retail investor interest remains low, as indicated by minimal Google search activity for ‚Bitcoin.‘ Analysts suggest the current rally is driven by institutional investors, with spot Bitcoin ETFs seeing record inflows exceeding $1 billion on consecutive days. Some speculate retail investors may perceive Bitcoin’s price as too high to enter the market. Despite this, experts believe the current uptrend has more potential for growth.

Retail is burdened with the „what if I buy Bitcoin and it goes down?“ mind set. Bitcoin is not for everyone and retail adoption has been a trickle compared to institutional investors who can see Bitcoin for what it is and more importantly what it will be. Bitcoin doesn’t need retail but retail will find out that they need Bitcoin.

Funny because all the other posts say retail is what’s fueling it atm

They already fell for it once, when it got the Elon bump. And then it tanked and they stopped caring. You can’t pull the same trick and expect it to keep working. It’s just going to level off from here.

Maybe because a ton of retail investors lost a lot of money in the last crash and don’t want to repeat when there are much safer investments
