Am Samstagmorgen wurden die Beamten in ein Wohngebäude im Distrikt Alppiharju in Helsinki gerufen, nachdem Berichte über einen Mann mit einer Klingenwaffe in einem Treppenhaus berichtet hatten. Nach Angaben der Polizei floh der Mann bei ihrer Ankunft aufs Dach.
Die Situation eskalierte, als der Mann, der immer noch mit einem Messer bewaffnet war, trotz wiederholter Befehle zum Aufhalten zu Offizieren bewegte.
Die Polizei versuchte zunächst, ihn mit einem Taser zu unterwerfen, aber als dieser scheiterte, eröffnete ein Beamter das Feuer. Der Mann starb sofort am Tatort, sagte die Polizei.

It sounds rubbish. They just killed him for no reason… There were multiple ways to deal with the situation… that’s so typical for Finland. First kill then think!
It’s so funny seeing Finnish people act scared or be upset because the cops shot someone who had a knife. Not to mention, the cops only shot 13 people in 25 years???? You guys are lucky you don’t have a problem like we do in America, especially when the use of force in this case is clearly justifiable.
