I love it. Google „superman woke“ and you’ll get loads of YouTube videos people harking on the studios, so badly projecting a flop for validation. especially has been superman dean Cain.

I’m predicting $156million opening weekend and 600million total domestic boxoffice it will make just under 900 million worldwide.

Finally seeing a really good Superman movie again after decades is a terrific feeling. I’m happy to see this movie embracing something that has largely been missing from a lot recent big blockbusters. Hope. Earnest, genuine hope.

So if this movie is successful by any measure I’m sure Charlie Kirk and the rest will call it a colossal failure and a great victory for MAGA and Trumpworld.

I may have seen it in the theater if the dog wasn’t in the trailer.

Saw it last night, the experience is worth the trip. The movie avoids showing repetitive things while reminding viewers of those things in clever ways. And that heartwarming feeling at the end, I thought it was fucking great. And loved the dog ofc.

I watched Superman today and absolutely enjoyed it. It’s not the genre of movie I would typically be interested in but I am so glad I gave it a shot. The well placed doses of humor, sentiment and that adorable Krypto, in addition to solid acting, made me a fan.

I was really disappointed with it. Just really lazy all around from the disjointed pacing and direction to the lack of real world-building. Felt more like a sequel. Emotional scenes didn’t feel earned as a result most of the time. Seemed like a rushed first draft. Also James Gunn really seems to love falling back on the “Country A invades Country B” political backdrop trope. If this were literally any other superhero it would’ve landed in the 70-something % range on RT but it’s Superman I guess. Idk can’t say I’m excited for the rest of this new DCU.

Just saw it. It was terrible. I guess people are easily entertained.
