Nobody wants to hear it but this guy will only ever fail upwards. In his current job the most the government can pay him is about $200k a year, but now that he has this on his resume and has rubbed elbows with the right people he can probably get a think tank job making two to three times that.

I take no joy in saying this, but no, he doesn’t have „one foot in the grave“. Everybody in Trump’s orbit right now is doing well. They’re getting away with everything and anything because everybody on the chain of command has been told directly not to acknowledge or punish egregious behavior like this. He will be fine. The only way to ensure this kid ever sees punishment is to elect an administration in 2028 (if they even let us) that will actually prosecute everybody involved in this nightmare.
