It’s horrible and you hate to see it, that’s someone’s mum, daughter at the end of day. Saying that though being on the front line is a dangerous job, I’ve seen a few policewomen out and about and thought “if if kicked off, she’d have no chance”.

A tweet by Rochdale’s MP a day after the incident. He completely threw Manchester Police under the bus. Still not retracted and he still hasn’t apologised.

You might be wondering why. Well, his majority is only 1440 votes. Runner up was George Galloway and the Workers Party of Britain.

    3. Outrageous that these savages were walking the streets so soon after their assault of multiple police officers. It’s hard to justify the decision even if there was a baying mob demanding their release outside the police station.

It’s hard to imagine members of the far right, football supporters or anyone else getting the same kid gloves treatment after they’d done that.

An example needs to be set in this trial.

    4. Poor lass, bet that hurt!

Nobody deserves that type of stuff at work.

      HOWEVER (probably unpopular opinion )

She is too small to be a front line officer…

      >5ft 2in and 8st

There are young teens bigger than that

This is NOT AIMED AT WOMEN or intended as a form of misogyny because I know how redditors like to immediately rush to conclusions (people reading this right now are undoubtedly doing mental gymnastics to make it seem that way); but you have to call into question the effectiveness of a police officer of ANY GENDER who immediately folds at the sight of confrontation or comes under physical assault and is utterly helpless. If the people supposed to protect you, can’t protect themselves, then should they even be a police officer?

The sobbing is normal. Once the adrenaline and fight or flight response wears off, reality comes crashing down and the emotions switch on. I’d probably be bawling my eyes to tears too; this isn’t relevant. What is relevant, is the shocking number of people becoming a police officer, unaware of the reality of what situations or people they will be dealing with. You won’t be tackling a drunk old skinny football hooligan who can’t coordinate or walk in a straight line. You will be trying to pacify absolute units; brutal beasts made of muscle and rage. Best case scenario; you get a bloody nose. Worst case scenario; they have a gun or a knife. If anyone is unaware of that fact, then they should probably reconsider a career in being a parking warden or Civil enforcement officer where the most they will deal with is being shouted at by a mother in a puff jacket because you gave her a parking ticket.

The evil people who defended these thugs for one reason and one reason only should be ashamed of themselves (but they won’t be, and they’ll do it again)

    7. It’s truly awful of course but who sends vulnerable police officers into such a dangerous situation? It honestly beggars belief that no one imagined what could happen. The male policeman tries to arrest one of the suspects using force, really? The only back up he has are two, very brave, female colleagues. It was a disaster waiting to happen. The police deserve better than this.

    8. The fact an MP called this a racist attack defending these men, which caused Muslims to attack Rochdale Police Station, is diabolical. That it caused leaks of the CCTV footage to try to calm down those in the Muslim community is a joke. The MP should resign if he had any honour or be forced to quit by labour.

How race and religion was even the forefront of what transpired as a shield that these men were brilliant citizens of society should make you sick. I hope the full extent of the law is dished out to these thugs who got off lightly as in they be shot dead trying this in any airport in the world. But I still feel they will probably get a slap on the wrist to try not offend their community. That would show that there is a 2 Tier Justice in the UK and that Law and Order in the UK is finished.

    9. Why didn’t the news release this footage aswell …if its from the same incident I just remember the police officer kicking the guy in the face

Absolute scumbags who did this. I can’t believe they tried to be the victims after what they did. I hope they go down for a long time. Absolute disgrace.

I remember when partial footage came out and everyone was shouting about racist police and how the police are completely rotten.

These two thugs are terrible people, I remember people in Manchester were fully supporting them, because it seems to fit a pre-concieved notion of what they thought happened.

2 men from a culture of not respecting women and minorities from a city with an undereported grooming epidemic from a backwards culture.

Would be very surprising if the jury comes back with anything other than guilty.

I would probably cry if I had the crap beaten out of me too.

I didn’t choose to be a police officer though.

Seriously, what’s the use in having officers that are unable to manhandle the average thug they’re inevitably going to come into contact with.

Its wild to me how far we’re regressing and people are still on the bandwagon that females who are obviously physically weaker than males can be just as effective. Females are good in certain situations but please don’t insult us by telling us that they are just as well trained and capable. Police should be allowed to positively discriminate based on the role. It’s common sense.

    16. StrongEggplant8120 on

female police officers have a perfectly viable place in the police. I myself would be more than willing to punch a male police officer in the face but the second a female puts a hand on me i cant do anything. ones a challenge the other a wall i can do nothing about.
