Establishment Democrats lied to us about Vote Blue No Matter Who.
It was part of the same narrative as blaming Progressives for staying home when 90 million Americans overall did because they weren’t impressed with Establishment Democrats.
In reality, they’re just resisting populist change. Lead, follow, or get out of the way.
These assholes would rather see a Republican win than a progressive. I fought hard to get Kamala Harris elected because I understood the existential threat our country faced. Democratic leadership has chosen complacency and put their donors before the people.

A lot of high up dems just want to go back to the corrupt and broken status quo that lead the US to where it is now, they don’t want REAL change and will fight Mamdani harder than they fight Trump and the Repubs.

There’s lots of Dem politicians who support Mamdani, but you have to read past the salacious headlines to find this out, which is apparently really hard.
Vote blue no matter who they said literally only 9 months ago. Couldn’t even wait a full year to go mask off.
I’m usually on the side of moderate establishment Democrats. I see them as people devoted to winning above all else, not devoted to doing the most for the American people as they can. And on that, I agree with them. Winning always needs to come first.
I felt good about this when boring old moderate Joe Biden beat Trump.
But after this last election, that playbook is not going to get us the win.
The establishment dems try so hard to keep people like Bernie from winning primaries, confident a socialist could never win a general election.

As a registered Democrat, I fucking hate the Establishment democrats. Kristen gillibrand is just a scummy person. I’m not even the most liberal person but it was very apparent that she was disingenuous when she zeroed in on Franken in 2017, not only that but chameleoning into being progressive senator just right after being a conservative upstate democrat. She will do and say whatever she thinks will get her power with no shame and getting 2% in the democratic primary in her home state would’ve made me look in the mirror if I were her but for her it’s just another day
At this point, their message has already been clear: they aren’t interested in unity, only using the concept of unity as a cudgel against anyone to their Left.
Bill Clinton and Clyburn should have endorsed Mamdani after they endorsed the primary loser, Cuomo. They haven’t.
Jeffries, Gillibrand, Hochul and Schumer ALSO should have endorsed the next morning, at the latest.
Finally, the DNC itself should be putting EXTREME pressure on Cuomo not to run 3rd Party. But they haven’t.
This is the proof that they do not walk the talk. Each time someone wants to make real change, they sabotage their efforts. Bill Clinton endorsed Cuomo !! They rather have Cuomo or Adams instead of Mamdani. At least republicans do what they say they will do.
I don’t live in New York so it doesn’t matter but I support Mamdani, and he won the primary so democrats should back him. But there’s a lot of fuss about endorsements (or lack thereof) and it feels like an overreaction. I just think a petition demanding an endorsement from someone is weird.
i appreciate the sentiment but what are we going to do if she doesn’t? She’s not up for reelection until 2030, and while I have no problem holding a grudge for 5 years, I’m probably in a small minority?
