I live in cottage country and I can’t recall seeing my town this busy in the summer. It’s wonderful, really happy for all the local businesses that rely on tourism this year.
It’s good news for the Canadian economy.
Considering the continental size of our country, it would be beneficial for everyone in Canada to travel and discover it…and to realize that even though we have differences, we’re all Canadians.
I don’t think the USD-CAD exchange rate is the biggest factor but it is a big part of what’s happening. Canadians travelling to the States are getting absolutely clobbered monetarily in a way they weren’t even ten years ago. Makes it much easier to stay in Canada for your holidays.
Nothing like a relaxing vacation traveling to a police state in the middle of a political purge.
Slap on the sun screen and watch undesirables disappear, just cross your fingers that ICE hit their quota before they notice the Canadian tanning/burning on the beach.
