Zypern sollte kein Partner in der ethnischen Reinigung sein, egal wie groß die Zahlung ist.

Camp should be in the country that supports their displacement aka the USA and UK funding the Israeli bombing.

No hate to Palestinians, I hope there’s a resolution and their home is safe in the near future, but why doesn’t any other muslim country accepts them?

Why should they come into a country that doesn’t have muslim culture? In general, why don’t muslim countries accepts other muslim refugees and they are trying to come into Europe? yes i know it’s the benefits EU provides them but their culture doesn’t match european culture and they complain about it.

    Ummm wtf?

I do not want any refugees (Palestinian or fucking Swedish, for all I care) taking over Cyprus. This should not be a viable fucking option

Isn’t this just screaming for hamas posing as “refugees” further extending the problem to Cyprus? Cyprus being a Christian country!!!! Why does Egypt, or Saudi Arabia, not help with the problem? No offence but Cyprus really doesn’t want this.. next we’ll have the IDF bombing “hamas” within Cyprus

I dont think will ever pass as Isrealis want your home as a backup plan 😉

Some news I read said that Israelis had also bought large plots of land in Cyprus and even opened schools. Is this true? If this is the case, who knows that Israel will not demand rights from Cyprus in the future?

  7. I must say, it was a fine couple of weeks here before warbots learned to bypass automoderation.

Ah the beautiful logic of a genocidal settler-colonial ethnostate: „We would definitely stop murdering, starving and torturing all the Palestinians if they all conveniently got up and left to … X“

  9. Why Is always Cyprus and Greece that have to bear the burden of American and now Israeli imperialism? They want to displace people from their land and they want to impose that on a third country.

This is nonsense. Wherever this news came from nobody is claiming responsibility for the plans. I think it’s just smoke and mirrors tbh.

  11. In all honesty we have our own trauma to deal with. It feels like sometimes we are a nest for those escaping their own countries.
I believe in multiculturalism but for a smallish island we stand to lose much if this isn’t properly monitored. Same applicable to North, they also should manage this, but are failing abysmally.

Egypt a massive Muslim country that could accommodate (with financial help) tens of millions of refugees is right next door. This makes absolutely 0 sense.

Doesn’t Cyprus already act as a camp for “Israelis” in times of distress?

  14. Warning: comments appear to be astroturfed and/or botted. Pro-Israel, pro-genocide, racism, Islamophobia. The Hasbara machine is out in full force today.

Every time people talk about Europe and immigration, but even though we don’t want to admit it, European Union is no longer able to survive without immigration because since its creation after the end of the 2nd WW, the union never updated the system to face the changes. We must admit that a well controlled immigration, an updated asylum system and freedom of movement are the only hope Europe has to survive in this political system which is changing. How will Europe face china or USA will 40% of active population and 10% of gays, priests, lesbians, and other nonsense people. We are getting old, we cannot fight anymore

  16. I have never seen a comment section more disingenuous than this, lots of Hasbara bots downvoting everything and trying to push the narrative “Why won’t any Arab countries take the Palestinians, something must be wrong with them” which is very antisemetic and Nazi-minded claim.

Then downvoting to hell anyone explaining the situation, like stating the fact that there are millions of Palestinians living in all of Palestine’s neighboring countries, and no they didn’t cause instability if anything they raised to the highest ranks of society through education, and business.

OP, can you look into the post’s insight and show where the views are coming from? I have a feeling that USA is going to be there, at an odd %

Cyprus is defined by ethnic cleansing.

Following the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, a large-scale population transfer took place, displacing roughly 170,000 Greek Cypriots from the northern part of the island and around 60,000 Turkish Cypriots from the south.

Seems Cyprus is the home for everyone except Cypriots.. not being racist but this is too much. When does it end? Every Cypriot leaves cause it is shit here for locals but all foreigners come here either cause of low tax or refugees.

No matter if it helps Israel or not, don’t take in Gaza refugees, I promise you you’ll regret it

Who touted this? The headline is doing heavy lifting trying to make it seem relevant, interesting, etc. I bet no single authority in Cyprus or in the actual conflict, ever even said this.

  21. I hope others have noted the evil irony here –

„During [World War II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II) and the [Holocaust](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust), Cyprus played a major role for European Jews. After the rise of [Nazi Germany](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Germany) in 1933, hundreds of Jews escaped to the island. Following the liquidation of the [concentration camps](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_concentration_camps) of Europe, the British set up a [detention camp in Cyprus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyprus_internment_camps) for [Holocaust survivors](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_survivors) illegally trying to enter [Palestine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandatory_Palestine). From 1946 until the establishment of the nearby [State of Israel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel) in 1948, the British confined 50,000 Jewish refugees in Cyprus. Once the State of Israel was created, most of the Jewish community [moved there](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliyah).^([)[*^(citation needed)*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)^(]) About 2,000 children were born in Cyprus as families waited to enter Israel.[^([15])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Cyprus#cite_note-Morley-15) In 2014, a „Garden of Peace“ was opened in [Xylotymbou](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylotymbou) to commemorate the plight of the thousands of Jewish refugees imprisoned in the British camps.[^([15)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Cyprus#cite_note-Morley-15)“

Here is a better idea – leave Gazans to live in Gaza.

    Gazans want this.

    Europeans want this.

    Someone else doesn’t want this.

    Do you get it?

  23. 1000% fake news. The northern (Turkish controlled part) would never play a part in removing Palestinians from their land unless of course Erdogan gets something huge from Trump which is very unlikely. As for the Southern part, just the thought of arriving Palestinian-muslim refugees arriving on the island would topple the current government in just a few minutes.
