      Thoughts on this? Now, with Elon Musk forming a new political party, the focus is upon the leading cryptocurrency.

      Probably something for discussion or not – controverse thinking for crypto minded folks like me but maybe not totally wrong.

      It doesn’t need to.

      Just needs to be pegged to an equal weighted gold/btc standard

      well you wouldn’t want it too, that’s for depreciating stable coins falling with the dollar.

      bitcoin is supposed to be better than the dollar because you can’t keep printing it

      I don’t want btc to replace the dollar. I’d like to dollar to be backed by btc.

      Nope but it will definitely be a backing treasury asset for stablecoin issuers, who will also buy treasury bonds for their assets thus making the dollar stronger.
