He’s the only one who has a reasonably good chance to beat most Republicans. You all need to stop with Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, AOC, Gavin Newsome, etc. I love a lot of the people I just listed, but they have next to no chance to win with how polarized the Democrat party is. Beshear 2028! Put all of our support behind him now!
Definitely not a reformer, at least nowhere near the level necessary. But Dems have always been a 1 step forward, 2 steps back (after they do everything possible to lose and abdicate to the GOP) kind of party.

Probably the most electable of the obvious candidates but so many years out, it’s hard to say whether or not he can actually win
If he can’t acknowledge that the republican party is a terrorist organization, he should be nowhere near any kind of leadership position, so why exactly should anyone care how he polls with republicans? It’s like saying a candidate for prison warden polls high with the prisoners.

Andy’s great. He says a lot of the right things and he can communicate them well. He’s been able to govern in a red state from the left without compromising his values. I respect that. My only issue is that I’m worried he lacks the charisma needed to fire people up. But who knows, hopefully I’m wrong and he’ll be on fire on the national stage.
If he moves on I wonder I’d Kentucky will elect another Republican to release all the violent felons at the end of his term.

Ughh i do not see Beshear being nothing more then a general moderate Democrat that may work in Kentucky but the Democratic party voters have been demanding a left wing populace message and i doubt Beshear would deliver that.
edit: I also personally do not like how often he refers to faith and god. The Democratic party is far more secular then the past. Why i applaud him for being more friendly to the LGBTQ community compared to many Christians he comes across as still to conservative for many people.
Beshear is a great “this is a legitimate election, we swear!” type of controlled opposition candidate out of the Putin playbook.
Only Mamdani’s real popular left wing policies succeeded in inspiring the young voters, while all others failed.
Only AOC and Sanders attracted thousands to their rallies and they are protesting and doing something.

Stealing republican and right-leaning independent voters is a good idea, but it never works in practice. The democrats should just focus on energizing their own base and getting young people to vote instead.
A vastly better option than Newsom.

Y’all… there’s a long revolutionary road ahead before we get there. First, we need to make sure the mid-terms are even happening before we win them. I also have a feelings we’re gonna have to strike and protest our butts off to get him out of there.
