Die früheste Verwendung von Albaner in der schriftlichen Form, die vor der Taufformel von PAL Engjelli liegt, findet sich in den griechischen Ost -Gospel -Fragmenten aus den 1300er Jahren. 15 Zeilen, die Teile des Evangeliums von Matthew und „Christus ist auferstanden!“ Auf Albaner wurde für Lehnsgesänge verwendet.
