A growing number of Americans believe the citizens have not gone far enough defending themselves from Trump’s immigration crackdown.
It doesn’t matter what most Americans ‚believe‘. What matters is, the idiots that voted for Trump got us into this predicament.
If…if… the Dems ever get back in control (cause I’m not convinced future elections won’t be rigged by republicans how they were in 2024) then the leadership of ICE needs to be brought before committee and possibly even charged with crimes

ICE just got more funding than the US marines. ICE I believe is now the 3rd most funded military in the world with a budget surpassing most countrie, by itself.
Imagine them with tanks, full uniforms, planes, he’ll they could buy an aircraft carrier and stock it with planes.
They will absolutely be deployed against American civilians, this nation better come to terms with that quickly.
And yet it’s only the tip of the iceberg with the passage of the new budget.

I don’t believe that for a second. Most Americans were told, repeatedly by Trump and Project 2025, that millions of immigrants, the entire population of them, were going to be deported. Most Americans voted for that.

The scary part is we don’t even know who these „ICE“ agents are. Are they random racists dressing up like ICE and doing whatever they want? Are they Proud Boys, Klan members or Oath Keepers that have been given credentials by the Trump administration based on their bigoted and racist values? Why do they always wear masks? Why do they not show ID or warrants? This is about to get even worse and I don’t know if there’s anyone in government doing enough to stop it.

These poll articles are stupid. First, polls have been preven to be unreliable. Second, polls only matter to politicians if they want to govern. These politicians have no desire to govern, they want to rule.
So people actually thought there were 20 million illegal immigrant criminals here? Yeah no, Trump has to go after everyone to get those numbers.

I love all these „most Americans“ polls. It always seems the majority of us don’t like what Trump and his admin is doing yet, where the fuck were these people on election day?
Oh voter apathy. Got it. You can do a poll but you can’t get to your polling station.
And yes I’m aware there are also a good chunk of people across the country screwed out of voting from various state legislatures making it untenable for them to vote etc but the number isn’t so high to outweigh voter apathy/ignorance. Kind of like how the Atlanta metro (I think it was here) area had their polling stations reduced to the point of making it something like 300k people per station or something crazy. I am likely misremembering exactly how many but I imagine most of you get what I’m saying.
So by the end of the year, the behavior of the massively beefed-up ICE will cause domestic unrest, which the administration will frame as the USA versus the illegal enemy (which 30% of the population will go along with). As long as there’s enough fear and unrest, the crumbling economy won’t be the focus.
Think your regretful thoughts as much as you like. The people in charge don’t give a rat’s about your regrets and they’re planning to do much worse. But hey, America voted for this.
