I got the email yesterday and I was like „WHAT THE FUCK“ and closed it.
It was so weird and gross seeing a propaganda email sent to me from SSA when they only ever sent official important program notices before.
Well of course. For 2 years ppl will think it’s great, bc that’s how the bill is structured.
Probably be better if Dems don’t win any seats back…bc otherwise, when the fall out happens, it’ll be „Dems fault“ as usual.
Can people sue the government for committing fraud at some point?

I got this email, read it, and deleted it. I already don’t play taxes on my Social Security as my income is so low, as I’m sure applies to many others on Social Security, and the tax deduction won’t do anything at all.

Yes an elderly relative was praising trump for it at a BBQ today. I was like that’s not going to help you when you need healthcare or a nursing home or at home help in the coming years, friend.
Received it this morning…and as I read it, was wtf, but wasn’t surprised with who we are dealing with right now.

It’s unconscionable that the SSA is being co-opted to spread political propaganda for Trump and the Republicans. Our country is disintegrating before our eyes. Trump is turning every non-partisan agency and the government service into a tool for his partisan agenda. All agencies are now based on the effort to glorify Trump and the GOP. Things are going to go bad very quickly now. Prepare your families now. If you take prescriptions, try to obtain as large a supply as possible. Start accumulating canned food, large sacks of pet food, and other supplies that can be safely stored for long periods of time. Prepare „go bags“ for your family; a suitcase for each person with clothing and medication for two weeks. This isn’t a drill. We’re on the precipice of civil disaster.
It ruined my whole day. Fucking propaganda from a supposedly apolitical department is so low. A Magat neighbor of mine saw me not too long after I read the lies and asked me “Did you see we’re not getting taxed on our social security thanks to the best president ever?” I told him to read the actual bill that passed. It’s pure bullshit. My neighbor doesn’t make enough to even qualify, fucking smooth brained ape.
