To be honest, the main point of this post is I’m tired of going to Armenian restaurants both in and out of Armenia and half the menu is Georgian food.
I get part of it is trying to cater to Russians who are used to that kind of food. But there is some very good regional food that could be promoted in its place, instead of another people’s cuisine. Here is just a small sample of it.
This is great, with the exception of Panrkhash I had no idea these existed.
Mostly my Armenian food knowledge was
1. Spas
2. Khash
3. Khashlama
4. Nrane
5. Harisa (not even sure it’s Armenian, probably is though)
6. Kurkut
And some cool stuff that peeps from Syria amd Lebanon brought with them.
Gonna try and make some of these I guess 😀
I thought we didn’t have too many purely Armenian foods in restaurants – cause there just probably wasn’t enough to fill a menu. But good news! Apparently there is.
Half of them exist in central Asia
