To be honest, this news doesn’t seem especially positive, especially compared to their L2 (‚Project Dama 2″).

In my opinion, winning means we move the traditional financial world onchain, so things like tokenized financial assets. Value moving from legacy rails onto an open, permissionless system.

Things like this however are the opposite, crypto assets being moved into traditional financial systems and losing all of the properties that make them interesting or useful.

If all you care about is your bags being pumped then sure, maybe you don’t think any of that matters, but that kind of financial nihilism seems to me like a kind of surrender.
