After Israel assassinated both the Iranian emergency military commander Gholam Ali Rashid and his replacement Ali Shadmani during the recent war, Iran chose not to reveal the identity of the new commander to avoid further attacks.

In response, a Persian language social media account linked to Israel’s Mossad posted on X, challenged users to guess the new commander’s identity.

Over 2,300 responses followed. Eventually, Mossad revealed the name, Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, a former IRGC general and government official.

The Mossad declared the winner out of the commentators, and asked him to make contact for a prize.

      >“The lucky winner who successfully guessed the ‘secret’ name is Mr. Behnam. Please contact us privately to receive your prize.”
