Different day, same story, same outcome. We’ve seen this script before. Quit feeding us this artificial drama and tell it like it is *actually* going to play out.

The Senate was too afraid to go against him, so I see no reason to think the house will be any different.

Why be scared to pass this shit when you know. It wont affect your seat anyways.
Stereo_Jungle_Child on
The tidal wave of death threats from Trump’s insane cultists will motivate those House Republican holdouts to change their minds and vote for the bill. That’s how inter-GOP politics works now. Republicans fear for their lives and the lives of their families if they oppose Trump.

You know how many articles have said that Johnson can’t get it done and then they squeak through cause he forces them to stay until it passes? I predict it won’t even take a full 24 hours cause there’s so much in the bill to hurt Americans that they’ll all be satisfied.

Can we just 86 the „fiscally conservative Republicans“ trope? They have *absolutely* no problem spending trillions, as long as none of it goes to social programs.
And when some few pennies *do* go to social programs, they’ll gladly stand there at the ribbon cutting ceremony and take credit for bringing money to their district.
Sick fucks.

In a sane world they never should. The deficit hawks should be against it. The top four states that produce the most wind power are Red, the states that produce the most solar are Cali, TX, and FL. All of those reps should be against it. They’re all gutless.

Feels to me like the congressional Republicans don’t want this pos legislation to pass, but feel they can’t vote against it, so their hope is to pass it between the house and senate making changes each time in hopes it will just drag on and eventually go away

This cannot in anyway be thought of as „good news“ because the ones holding their support are doing so because they don’t think the bill cuts enough from services that actually benefit the working class and don’t give enough back to the wealthy.

I live in a red state. I called and called and called my representative all morning. Actually was able to speak with her, I was shocked. I implored her to vote no on this bill and made my case with the facts and how it will cripple a vast majority of her constituents in this rural area. Did it make any difference? Who knows

Really?
And who’s holding their breath hoping Representatives will stop his bill from passing?
Secretary Kennedy is the perfect example. His own family came out against him and Trump nominated him. Then Congress confirmed his nomination.
Pete Hegseth is not at all qualified. Yet he is serving as Secretary of Defense.
