Note that Newsom is still free as a bird despite being less popular than Mamdani and more directly antagonistic to Trump than Mamdani.
And literally daring Trump and Homan to come get him.
Their fear of his honesty and goodness and compassion is so telling.

Trump is terrified that one of these guys is going to get arrested. They’re not ICE agents, they’re task force officers. That means that they work for ICE in conjunction with local authorities, if the local authorities stop their working agreement they can’t function. Trump could send actual ICE agents, but there are far fewer and would have to be spread too thin to keep up this pace.

Here’s what’s going to happen. Trump finds a bullshit excuse to arrest Zohran, he has a criminal record, then the DOJ uses his “criminal record” for reasoning to denaturalize him and “deport” him to a different country
