I didn’t really care for the book. It’s not great when you wait for someone’s death to tell the world all their shortcomings. Her mom wasn’t a terrible person, she just made some poor choices in the age of the predatory 90’s.
no one would have any clue who she was if it wasn’t for her mother.
Is Jennette playing herself in any part of this? That’s what I’m most curious about, she’s repeatedly said how she doesn’t want to act (or more specifically how she doesn’t want to return for iCarly reunions), but everything I’ve found on this show has her as writing but mentions nothing about who is playing her.
i’m so glad they made this a tv series! when i read the book it was so visual and i was thinking id love to see it in live action. it discusses the life of child stars as well. perfect timing in my opinion!
I think the title of this show will turn people off.
