    1. He wishes the assassin would have made it a bit further down the list.

He already showed during Covid that people who didn’t vote for him deserve to die.

This is such a fucking weak headline.

They want us dead as painfully as possible.

Stop sanitizing or softening this. This is what they want.

    3. Luke_Cocksucker on

This is what he wanted. He wants violence in america. He wanted dems to be scared. This is all according to the plan.

    4. I wouldn’t want the person who encouraged my murder to be at my funeral. He has no business being there.

“In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trials 1945-1949) I was searching for the nature of evil and I now think I have come close to defining it. A lack of empathy. It’s the one characteristic that connects all the defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men. Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy.”

      – Captain G. M. Gilbert, the Army psychologist assigned to
watching the defendants at the Nuremberg trials

Stop looking for any compassion sympathy and human kindness. These are monsters. Think Nazis Joseph Goebbels, Himmler, Heydrich, Hitler, that’s who you’re dealing with. Treat them like the monsters they are and stop looking for any human emotion other than their rage, anger vengeance, and now murder.

    7. From the article: „A responsible leader would have used a political assassination as an opportunity to bring the nation together at a time when political divides are going from rancorous to dangerous. But Trump [pardoned violent Jan. 6 insurrectionists](https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/trump-pardons-jan-6-insurrectionists-rcna187412). He treats political violence differently based on who’s doing it and who’s on the receiving end of it.“

This exactly. When the violence is directed at Trump or his side, then it’s „Fight! Fight! Fight!“ Republicans are justified in attacking back. But, when the violence is committed by Trump’s supporters against Democrats, then it’s „It’s not my fault. The Democrats deserved it and brought this violence on themselves.“

This is the fuel to the fire. He has to make dems the enemies to keep him in power. Soon this will pass

    9. Face2FaceRecs on

He didn’t go because it would have been impossible from him to refrain from showing his enjoyment that some democrats were murdered by one of his cult followers.

AND – He doesn’t care at all about people being murdered if he can’t exploit it.

AND- He wants to see more violence committed against the Democratic Party or their voters.

    10. People need to get with the program. He is the enemy, they were his enemy. He represents the enemy Americans. You don’t usually go to your enemy’s funeral.

    11. Actual-Lingonberry66 on

He didn’t attend the funeral because he incited the violence to create a climate of fear. He doesn’t want to send mixed messages. He’s as culpable for these murders as he was for January 6th. This is by design.

To be fair, I wouldn’t want the person responsible for my murder, my spouses murder, and my dogs murder, at my funeral either

    13. Slade_Riprock on

He had to limit his travel this week to Alligator Alcatraz opening and of course golf.

    14. He wouldn’t show at speaker Johnson’s funeral either unless it benefited him in some way.

    15. Galactic-Guardian404 on

How directly does he need to say he doesn’t consider Democrats human?

    16. arthurdentxxxxii on

I get the point of the article, but I certainly wouldn’t want Trump at my funeral.

    17. effeminatethug on

He wasn’t invited. I don’t like him, but I think it was decent of him to not show up and turn it into all about him. Give him credit for that.

    18. PHotstepper311 on

Him being there wouldn’t have helped. Honestly better that he didn’t. He wouldn’t be sincere to the grief of the situation.

    19. Agile_End_3049 on

Didn’t surprise me in the least that he never showed. He’s beyond redemption. He’s always been this way and always will be.

    20. CommanderFunbunch on

Trump is a first class dick. He didn’t even attend his own father’s funeral

    21. Illustrious-Lime7729 on

I am sure the people who attended were pleased he didn’t show.

    22. He’s a rude, sick, heartless S.O.B. who sees anyone who isn’t a Trump lackey as an enemy. He is not a patriot and hates over half the American people, including their elected representatives. He is an opportunist and a narcissist with no humanity. What else to know?

    23. TwistedMemories on

Not defending him, but where is it listed under Presidential duties he has to attend a lawmaker’s funeral? It isn’t even customary, but many Presidents have attend the funeral of people that they well respected or close to.

They have been known to also send someone in their place. I don’t expect the current President to even do that,

    24. I’m sure the democrats will hold their heads high and act with decency and that will surely inspire Americans to vote for them this time.

    25. greenman5252 on

Why would you expect a Republican to attend the funeral of a slain enemy combatant?

    26. mistertickertape on

It is a complete lack of empathy. This is why even if he is pathetic, he’s dangerous. He has no empathy and no remorse.
