There’s no W in our alphabet.
It’s probably V just American border officers wrote it as they heard. I can’t read that handwriting, but i am sure someone will be able to recognize what’s written there..
My best gues is „Vainiūnai“.
Probably a scam
For me it looks like Wojniūny [https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojniuny](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojniuny)
Could also be Vainiūnai [https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaini%C5%ABnai_(Seirijai)](https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaini%C5%ABnai_(Seirijai)) or [https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaini%C5%ABnai](https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaini%C5%ABnai)
The former Vainiūnai is near the Polish border and back in those days W and SZ (Polish SH sound) were used in writing Lithuanian.
Written in a Polish manner hence the W. If it says „Wojniuny“ as pointed out by other people, that’s just the Polish transliteration of „Vainiūnai“
Thank you everyone. It’s greatly appreciated! Now I can do some reading on it.
