It’s becoming a growing problem on media platforms, not just on YouTube and Spotify, of AI-generated content flooding the feeds. This practice is dishonest, devalues the talent and effort that went in learning and honing musical skills, and makes it clear making music is solely a money-making venture.
I honestly don’t find this much different from the people churning out thousands of banal 2:00 “songs” under multiple names that get added to playlists for background music, music to fall asleep to, etc. Who are getting paid good money for exploiting the Spotify system. It’s just a faster way to churn out the garbage.
[Arjen Lubach did a pretty good look at this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFeCMDy9YC8&t=966s) a couple of weeks ago on his show. It’s in Dutch, so you probably won’t understand what he’s saying, but you ought to be able to get the gist of it. He goes into the presence of AI music as well as a part of the piece.
