Nothing unless they are on a too small of a lot and there is no parking.
My fear is 95% fearing they will cram one of these on a lot designed fro 1 house. They should be put on 2 lots. But greed will probably mean cramming them onto 1 lot.
In a sad update to this story, attempts to increase density and building housing have once again been foiled by suburban NIMBY councillors, meaning that 6-plexes were only legalized in parts of the city.

This almost certainly violates Toronto’s HAF agreement, and Feds need to put up or shut up, and punish Toronto for breaking their commitment.
Growing up in Montreal where majority of housing is probably some form of multi-unit buildings, it was quite the culture shock to see that the rest of Canada wasn’t the same.
If developed actually built quad plexes with multiple levels and little ground-level balconies and small green spaces people would probably fuckin buy em. I used to live in one and it is incredible how apartments are preferred over them.
