The Trump administration has announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti, impacting over 520,000 Haitian nationals residing in the United States.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that the designation will expire on August 3, 2025, with the termination taking effect on September 2, 2025. This decision reverses an 18-month extension granted under former President Joe Biden’s administration, which would have extended protections until February 2026.

    2. that the executive can do this on a whim is an indictment of every lawmaker since the founding fathers.

MAGA: We only have a problem with illegal immigrants, if you’re here legally we love you

Also MAGA: Not a single brown person is here legally. Including Native Americans.

Deport the illegal immigrants like Elon and Malenia

Also deport Trump too, he is orange instead of white

Never let Republicans ever say that it is about legal vs illegal immigration again.

It is racism. Pure and simple. Their President is granting asylum to white people while simultaneously denying it to people of color who actually have a legitimate reason to seek asylum.

    6. Now go round em up!

If you can’t find enough undocumented immigrants to meet your quotas, just make more.

They don’t give a shit about optics anymore. They realized being bigots out in the open doesn’t do them any harm with voters.

Midterms starting to feel like our last shot

      The most important factor is:

Trump is always backed by the supreme court.

In the 1930s, the Hitler-supporting politicans and judges thought they could control Hitler: when he went too far they could say, „enough now“

What they didn’t realise was that he had changed the laws and protocols: he now controlled them. AND THEY HAD AGREED TO IT ALL.

So when all these deportations don’t fix our problems then what? who or what do we blame next?

I’ve yet to find anything redeemable about trump or his administration. They are some of the worse people on the planet.

Probably safe for everyone to assume their legal status, regardless of actual citizenship, is at risk

    12. Man. It’s really earth shaking how deeply a platform of cruelty appeals to America.

They’re making new illegal immigrants because the problem wasn’t as big as they said it was.

Typical Republican playbook distracting their base with big bad immigrants to deport while they enrich themselves

    15. Reviews-From-Me on

He’s arbitrarily creating more illegal immigrants so he can target them and fabricate his deportation numbers.

      >A DHS spokesperson said in a statement to Newsweek: „The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough that it is safe for Haitian citizens to return home.“

Haiti barely has a government lol

    17. It’s completely anecdotal but never met a Haitian in America who I didn’t almost immediately like.

The opposite is true of anyone wearing a Red MAGA hat.

    18. Alternate headline: „United States sees increase of 500,000 illegal immigrants in one day under Donald Trump“.

    19. RecipeFunny2154 on

We already have seen Republicans in power asking for the winner of the Democratic primary for mayor in NYC to be deported. In order to get the numbers they want to tout, they have to change the system. It’s not going to stop here and I have zero confidence the Supreme Court will do anything about it at all.

    20. So, the article said that their status was going to expire in February 2026 anyway. He totally could have just waited and not extended it. But no, bro went with the maximum racist and pettiness option. Just a pure asshole lol.

Oh looky, and right on the heals of SCOTUS kneecapping the courts.

      Must be a coincidence

    22. He said he was going to do this and was voted in. People should NOT be surprised by this. Hell we see stories daily form people who voted for him that thought he wasn’t serious.

      VOTING MATTERS.

Where’s the „just come here legally“ crowd? Cuz these folks DID come legally and are still gonna get the boot.
