      I get a kick out of everyone in his thread acting like any of these folks regret their vote.

      Undocumented Latinos can’t vote. Trump won the “legal” Latino vote. They’re happy to see pain and suffering for those being deported. Just like all republicans, they are of the “I got mine and I’ll make sure no one else does” mindset.

      You know why you see a story about Latino Trump supporters being upset about deportations? Because it’s really really rare. It’s the exception, not the norm.

      This isn’t leopards eating faces. This is Latinos eating Latinos.

      Well yeah, many Latino cultures/countries are extremely right wing. I remember when trump was running and the majority of my coworkers from Guatemala/El Salvador and Hondouras all loved who he was and what he said he stood for.

      When I see an article like this a small part of me says “Screw them, they deserve everything that they get.” But a larger part of me thinks that this is something we need to work on for the next election. Chess, not checkers.

      A lot of Latinos came from authoritarian,dictatorship, oppressive governments and that’s what they were brought up in and use to , some fall into the category of voting for a strong man BS, and then a large percentage believe a woman can not or should not be president but there are other nationalities that also voted for donny or didn’t vote at all when Hillary or Kamala ran because they don’t want a woman president and don’t think they could do the job. Now everyone has to suffer because of their backwards beliefs

      Yea I vividly remember feeling exasperated a shit ton after many reddit debates I had with Hispanic people- begging them to understand that when Trump says he will deport the most violent criminals, he means you- because he is a racist who doesn’t see the difference.

      The Latin community has extreme amounts of disinformation. My wife is Colombian and her family and their friends all believed that turkey was in short supply because workers at the meat processing plant were raping the dead turkeys. This was based on some grainy PETA allegation that then got taken and spun into something even larger. They literally had never heard of avian flu.

      It is the toxic machismo culture, unfortunately, many women stand behind it as well. Some are regretful now but most are still ok with what is happening. They still don’t think they’re going to be affected personally.

      We’re beginning to hear from large numbers of now-horrified Latino trump voters who actually did know that trump would be deporting their friends and relatives. They cannot have all been sufficiently stupid so as not to know.

      It’s too late to be finding their anguished souls now.

      I keep seeing the “machismo” and “chauvinism” of the Latino community blamed for this but Latin countries have elected female leaders. Hell, the president of Mexico *right now* is female.

      So…this can’t be the actual reason right?

      Just goes to show how “gameified” and “sportsified” politics has become. People pick their team and support them with every cell in their body and they act like politics and policies aren’t real. To them they’re just voting for the things they’re gonna hear about in Fox News every day and they want to be told they’re winning without thinking much deeper about what it is these ghouls want.

      “Latino” is a very broad term and includes people such as Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

      I saw many interviews with Latinos that voted for Trump, who based their decision on the idea that illegal immigrants were an embarrassment to them. They went through the proper channels and came to the country the correct way and did not like the black eye they were getting from the illegals.

      We need to focus more on the overwhelming majority of white people who voted for Trump every single time. His gains among Black and Latino voters isnt nearly as big of an issue as the media makes it out to be. The problem is white people.

      I was dating a Hispanic immigrant at the time of the presidential campaign. Her entire family supported trump. They said it was because of the economy.

      They didn’t care about anything else. And none of them could even vote anyway, but they were here for the work so that’s what their focus was.

      Even when told that Trump would start deporting them in masse, they figured he was being honest that it would just be the criminals. And they said that was a good idea, who wants to keep criminals around?

      Now they live in fear everyday and realize the error of supporting trump. Most of them anyway.

      It’s not like he wasn’t saying what he was going to do, yet they voted for him anyway thinking it wouldn’t happen to them.
